  • World of Kung-fu: Dragon & Eagle brings exciting wuxia action to the palm of your hand
  • Create your own distinct fighting style, explore medieval China and meet a vast array of characters
  • Experience it now on Google Play, or check it out on iOS when it releases on March 6th

When it comes to fighting on mobile, you might cast your mind back to something like Skullgirls and it’s side-scrolling 1v1 action. But what about something with a little more in line mechanically with RPGs, and featuring a sweeping Asian-inspired world to explore? Well, that’s where World of Kung-fu: Dragon & Eagle comes in as it brings you wuxia action in bite-sized sprite style.

But what’s a wuxia when it’s at home? Well, essentially it’s epic Chinese fantasy based around martial arts, swordplay and larger-than-life characters. Think Arthurian legend but mixed in with a healthy dose of fisticuffs and soliloquies. It’s a vibrant genre well beloved in film, and in gaming as fans of Bioware cult-classic Jade Empire can attest.

World of Kung-fu will see you explore medieval China from Xiangyang, Jingzhou, Jiangdong, Central Plains and even further afield. Boasting a diverse array of characters to meet and recruit, side activities and more, the World of Kung-fu naturally centres around a detailed and exciting system of martial arts action.

The Mystery of Chess-boxing

How complex? Well, how about 300+ special abilities and 350+ traits to create your own distinctive fighting style? Whether that’s swordplay, staff-fighting or good old-fashioned fisticuffs. You’ll also encounter varied martial arts schools with their own styles both as adversaries and as allies.

The best part? If you’re somewhat sceptical about all this you can try World of Kung-fu: Dragon & Eagle for free and experience the trial version letting you explore Xiangyang City and its surroundings. Then, when you’ve gotten a taste for it you can purchase the whole release to explore further afield and hone your abilities further.

Find World of Kung-fu: Dragon & Eagle now on Google Play, coming to the iOS App Store on March 6th!

Meanwhile, if you’re looking for some more Eastern-inspired mobile gaming why not check out Catherine’s review of Crunchyroll: Tengami and see where it succeeds (or falls flat)?
