  • Hotly-anticipated eldritch fishing sim Dredge is arriving on mobile February 27th
  • This is after more than a few shifts in its release date
  • Manage your sanity as you ply the depths to feed the inhabitants of a desolate island chain

For all you fishing aficionados just dying to experience the sanity-shredding isolation of the deep sea, you’ll be glad to hear that the wait is finally over. Because Dredge, the eldritch fishing simulator, is finally set to arrive with its latest release date set for February 27th after some delays.

In Dredge, you play a nameless fisherman plying the depths around a lonely archipelago. Your job is simple, catch fish and sell them on to the islanders. But things get more complex when it comes to maintaining and upgrading your boat, exploring the archipelago and its mysterious goings-on and- wait, what’s that in the fog at night?

As I reported late last year, Dredge’s hotly-anticipated mobile port was delayed until February 2025; and wouldn’t you know it? That date is almost here. Dredge’s iOS App Store listing has been updated with this new release date, but the Android Google Play listing is not yet live.

Oh I do love to be beside the seaside

Aside from the usual casual fun of fishing, Dredge boasts a surprisingly in-depth upgrade system and plenty of Lovecraftian horror for you to enjoy. No word yet on what DLC will be made available, as the mainline entry already has a few expansions that widen the scope of the archipelago.

But if this is the final release date for Dredge I’m sure that more than a few of you are excited to see it finally arrive. And with its low-poly aesthetic but engaging visual style I think that it’ll find a very suitable place as a firm favourite for mobile gamers.
