  • Songs of Conquest arrives on iOS and Android on March 13th
  • It’ll be a premium experience that costs $11.99
  • There are four factions to choose from, including Necromancers!

You may recall that in November last year, I covered that Lavapotion’s Songs of Conquest was on its way to mobile. There hasn’t been a tonne of news since then. Until today, that is. Obviously. Otherwise, this article would be weird. Anyway, publisher Coffee Stain Malmo has announced that we can finally get our hands on it on March 13th, with pre-orders now open.

If you’re unfamiliar with Songs of Conquest, it’s a strategy game that first launched on PC in 2022, though it was in Early Access then. Since its proper release, it has earned itself a solid 78 rating on Metacritic, which is nothing to be sniffed at. The Steam reviews are also pretty positive, so it’s not just critics who have enjoyed their time with it.

Songs of Conquest draws inspiration from 90’s strategy classics, something that’s immediately evident if you check out the trailer below. As you can see, you’ll take charge of entire armies, battling against fearsome enemies in turn-based combat. There are four factions to choose from, giving a few different playstyle approaches to test out.

90s-inspired tactical goodness

Personally, as soon as I see mention of necromancers, I’m pretty much sold. Raising the dead to do my bidding? All my troops get to wear a cool robe while looking creepy and sinister? Sign me up. If that doesn’t float your boat, perhaps the knights, swamp dwellers or merchants will. But I want an army of skeletons.

Regardless of who you pick, Songs of Conquest promises an in-depth tactical experience. Depending on the troops at your disposal, they will have different abilities to use alongside magic options and ways to progress. So plenty to dig your teeth into here.

Songs of Conquests will launch for the App Store and Google Play on March 13th as a premium game that costs $11.99 or your local equivalent. If interested, you can pre-register for your preferred platform using the buttons below.
