Pokémon Go is bringing back the Bug Out event with Sizzlipede’s debut this time

- Bug Out will run from March 26th to 30th
- Sizzlipede will appear in one-star raids
- Several other Pokémon to catch
The Bug Out event is returning to Pokémon Go, bringing a wave of Bug-type Pokémon and the debut of Sizzlipede and its evolution, Centiskorch. Running from March 26th to 30th, this event is packed with wild encounters, raids, bonuses, and new challenges to keep you on your toes.
Throughout the Bug Out event in Pokémon Go, Lure Modules will play a big role. They’ll not only attract Sizzlipede but also boost the number of Pokémon appearing at a PokéStop if enough are caught using a single Lure Module.
On top of that, you’ll earn 2x XP and extra Candy for Nice Throws or better, with increased Candy XL chances for trainers level 31 and up. If you’re a Shiny hunter, you’ll also have better odds of finding Shiny Wurmple and Shiny Venipede.
Bug-types will naturally be swarming in the wild, with frequent appearances from Pokémon like Caterpie, Weedle, Wurmple, Nincada, Venipede, Dwebble, Joltik, Grubbin, Dewpider, and Nymble. If you’re lucky, you might even encounter Cutiefly.
Meanwhile, Sizzlipede will appear in one-star raids alongside Scyther and Nincada, while Beedrill, Scizor, and Kleavor take over three-star raids. Completing event-themed Field Research tasks will reward you with Mega Energy, Scatterbug Candy, and encounters with event Pokémon.

There’s also a free Timed Research opportunity that includes encounters with Shedinja, Sizzlipede, Kleavor, and more, along with a Lure Module. If you want extra rewards, a Paid Timed Research option ($2 or local equivalent) offers encounters with Heracross, Sizzlipede, and Kleavor, plus two Premium Battle Passes and an extra Lure Module.
Finally, new Collection Challenges will reward Stardust, XP, and Pokémon encounters, while PokéStop Showcases will highlight event-themed Pokémon. Don’t forget to grab the new Sizzlipede Boots and a Scolipede Jacket from the in-game shop.
