While in-game goodies are always a good thing, IRL goodies are even cooler – and indie studio Nice Gang is providing exactly that for its ground-breaking RPG, Eighth Era. Having launched its competitive PvP mode earlier in the month, the mobile RPG is running a host of time-limited Era tournaments with collectible coins up for grabs – and no, they’re not the kind of coins you might be expecting!
These tournaments will see you duke it out against other contenders in asynchronous combat, all for a chance to snag real-world collectibles as your shiny new trophies. There are more than 50 different heroes to choose from to switch up those strategies, with faction bonuses you can take advantage of in battle to dominate the leagues.
Now, onto the really exciting part: Eighth Era is handing out physical collectible coins throughout each month a tournament concludes. The higher you rank up in the tournaments, the better your chances of nabbing some freshly minted, limited-edition coins which will be colourised, silvered, and, for the two week long tournaments, gold gilted. Making them even more special is that each coin will depict the tournament’s selected character. And, if you manage to bag a place in the top ten, that shiny new coin will be delivered right to your doorstep.
