  • Season 8: Sandlord releases on April 17th

  • Deep Space has been completely overhauled

Torchlight: Infinite first teased its next chapter a couple of weeks ago, and now the curtain’s been pulled back. The upcoming season, Sandlord, launches on April 17th, and it looks like a major shakeup. With floating cities, economic management, and real-world prizes up for grabs, season eight will bring a wave of new content to the ARPG.

This time around, you’re not just grinding through monsters in Torchlight: Infinite’s eighth season – you’re building an empire in the skies. The new Sandlord mechanic introduces the Cloud Oasis, where you’ll trade resources, assign workers, and manage production lines to build up your own aerial stronghold.

Thea returns this season with a twist. Her new trait, Blasphemer, trades her divine powers for a curse called Desecration. It starts weak, but scales hard, boosting Erosion damage based on how little blessing power she has left. Builds can push it further into AoE explosions or HP-scaling effects, making it a dream for anyone who loves damage-over-time mechanics and synergy-heavy setups.

Endgame content is getting serious attention too. Deep Space has been reworked with five new stages, wider maps, and tougher enemies. You can also tweak risk and rewards with a new system called Probes, each one increasing challenge but potentially delivering better loot, including Compass chests through the Compass Probe.

Here’s a list of the best classes to pick in Torchlight: Infinite!

The update also introduces a Blending System for belt crafting, allowing Hero Traits, Talent nodes, and unique affixes to be fused into a single item slot for deeper build options. And of course, there’s a new boss, Night Slayer – The Wilting Plume, now added to Plane Watcher and the 20th floor of Supreme Showdown.

Tying it all together is the Sands of Fortune anniversary event, running from April 17th to May 1st. Complete tasks, earn Gold Rush Attempts, and take a shot at winning from a prize pool worth $250,000.
