Pokémon Go sees the return of Mega Kangaskhan with its own Raid Day in May

- Pokémon Go is set to see the return of Mega Kangaskhan in its latest raid
- The raid is set to take place May 3rd from 3pm to 5pm local time
- There’s a new Event Pass, free Timed Research and other goodies
For fans of Pokémon Go, Raid Days are always a promise of something fun and interesting. No less this latest upcoming event, as Mega Kangaskhan is set to make a return! Taking place Saturday, May 3rd from 2pm to 5pm local time, there’s a whole host of benefits for participating players.
The return of Kangaskhan will be especially exciting for players as this ‘mon is usually region locked. So if you’ve been in need of finishing your Kanto Pokedex, now’s the chance! To help out players the Remote Raid Pass limit will be raised to 20 from Saturday the 2nd at 5pm PDT to 8pm on the 3rd.
You’ll also receive five additional Raid Passes from spinning Gym Discs, and there’s an increased chance of encountering a Shiny Kangaskhan during Mega Raids. So whether or not you’ve completed your Pokedex, if you need to beef out your party of Pokémon it’s well worth digging into the Raid Day.

Naturally, you’ll also be able to nab an Event Pass for $4.99 or regional equivalent which will grant you even more rewards. This time around it’s eight additional Raid Passes from spinning Gym Photo Discs, for a daily total of 14. There’s also a chance to get Rare Candy XL, 50% more XP and 2x Stardust from Raid Battles.
Last, but certainly not least, there’s also a free Timed Research to undertake. Gain 10,000 Stardust for completing the research, 1,000 if you participate in a Raid Battle and other goodies. Just be sure to claim it before 5pm local time on May 3rd!
