Frequent readers may recall back in late 2024 when we explored the upcoming naval-themed casual RPG Pandoland. And as promised, Pandoland has just hit release on iOS and Android. So now it’s time to find out exactly what it has in store for RPG fans on mobile.
Pandoland’s blocky aesthetic is the first thing that grabs your attention, but don’t let appearances deceive you. This may be aimed at a casual audience, but Pandoland offers a host of intriguing gameplay mechanics to grab even the most demanding of RPG fans.
You explore a vast overworld on land and sea, clearing the fog of war to discover new locations, treasure and dungeons to explore. From there, you leap into more intimate isometric combat as you battle your way through all manner of monsters and take on massive bosses.
Don’t be a square
Pandoland also boasts the ability to recruit a huge number of companions (over 500!) to build the perfect team, you can upgrade with the treasures you uncover. You’ll need not just them, but sometimes the help of other adventurers whom you can partner up with to take on tricky dungeons, or just check in on their Adventure Records to find out what you may have missed out on.
Having already proved to be massively popular with over 100k downloads, I’ve no doubt we’ll be hearing more about Pandoland in the future. And with a mix of more casual-focused gameplay with plenty of depth to satisfy more die-hard RPG fans, it could measure up to be a favourite for years to come.
