Street Fighter IV Netflix brings the fighting classic to mobile once more

There’s a lot of argument over when exactly the heyday of the fighting genre was. Was it the 90s with hits like Street Fighter III? The 2000s and Guilty Gear? Or the 2020s and dominance of those such as Tekken? Either way, few would argue that Street Fighter IV helped revamp interest in this iconic, brawling genre of gaming.

Now, thanks to Netflix Games, you’ll be able to relive Street Fighter IV: Championship Edition and its cast of over 30 fighters and 12 stages to fight in. Be that the classic duo of Ryu and Ken, returning Third Strike alumni Elena and Dudley, or other fan-favourites such as C. Viper and Juri Ha,n who debuted in this iconic release.

Best of all? All you need is a regular Netflix subscription to access it, with both online multiplayer and offline solo play available. And yes, controllers are supported, although you won’t be able to use them for the menu (no word on fight-sticks).

It’s almost difficult to express how jam-packed Street Fighter IV comes with content. Be it arcade mode for each character, or the fact that you can tweak the difficulty to slowly develop your skills. Just beware, because if you’re a beginner,r then the whole fighting world has had more than a few years to hone their craft.
