Empires & Puzzles is set to team with the WWE for a sports entertainment-packed event

- Empires & Puzzles is set to team with the WWE for a new event
- Starting May 26th, it brings together the hit puzzler and top WWE superstars
- Challenge and recruit top faces such as Cody Rhodes and Rhia Ripley
The world of wrestling is no stranger to crossovers and collaborations. But in recent years, the WWE seems to have gone full-throttle with the integration of its superstars into the world of mobile. Little surprise then that the next port of call for them is the popular casual release, Empires & Puzzles.
As you might expect, this new crossover, which is arriving May 26th, is set to bring top WWE superstars to Empire & Puzzles. Devoted fans and newcomers to Empires & Puzzles alike can take on huge names such as Cody Rhodes, Rhea Ripley, and even current champion John Cena.
Naturally, it wouldn’t be a WWE team-up without the presence of some of the iconic emblems of pro-wrestling. So for that, you’ll have three new specific passives – Striker, Technician and Powerhouse. You’ll also have a new status effect called Grapple, which will pair nicely with the ability to activate Superstars’ signature moves, such as HHH’s Pedigree.
Where’s that referee…?
With the collab’s 10 stages of match-three battles, you’ll add each defeated guest hero to your team as you go along, with those brand-new signature moves and exclusive rewards all being available. And with six weeks to complete the event, there is plenty of time to get your head around all this newfangled wrestling terminology.
While I think it may not be for everyone, as a tactic to get the faces of WWE’s superstars in front of the public, you can’t go wrong with a super popular release such as Empires & Puzzles.
But in the meantime, if you’re looking to put your brain to the test and not do so with Empires & Puzzles, there are still plenty of other options. Why not check out our list of the top 25 best puzzle games on iOS and Android for some options?
