Open Drive lets you steer your vehicle using eye movement technology, coming to mobile this summer

- Drive using assistive eye gaze camera technology
- Different input methods and control schemes
- Coming to iOS and Android this summer entirely free to play
SpecialEffect has announced the upcoming launch of Open Drive, the charity org’s driving game on iOS and Android that’s meant to be played using eye movement. This means that with assistive eye gaze camera technology, eye movement can be tracked as a cursor position. And when you’d like to click or tap, you can simply stare at the screen for a specific time to register the tap.
This does mean that a compatible eye gaze camera needs to be used with Open Drive, letting you steer to the left or right to collect orbs. Of course, to boost accessibility even more, Open Drive also lets you use accessibility switches, controllers, and your very own mobile touchscreen depending on what’s most convenient for you.
Regardless of the input method you’re using, the configurations will automatically adapt to the control scheme for you. And just so you can take a more relaxed pace should you so wish, you can also slow things down to help you time more jumps and catch more orbs easily.
