  • Emergency Call 112: The Attack Squad brings firefighting simulation to mobile
  • Take on a whole host of fires, from burning sheds to life-threatening housefires
  • Use realistic firefighting equipment and save lives

There’s a seeming stereotype for German developers and players that they love nothing better than a granular simulator. That’s not strictly true, of course, Euro Truck Simulator is developed by a Czech studio, and Farming Simulator by a Swiss one! But Germany certainly boasts plenty of realism-focused developers, like Aerosoft and their latest release, Emergency Call 112.

Named after the European equivalent of 911, Emergency Call 112 sees you step into the boots of an elite firefighting crew. As you might expect, that means you’ll handle everything from sheds set alight to deadly housefires and decide how to tackle each incident.

At your disposal, you’ll have all manner of realistic firefighting equipment. From the familiar extendable ladder, to pickaxes, and a variety of hoses. It’s not always as simple as just running up and spraying the fire with water, and whether it’s the potential for a gas explosion or human lives in the equation, you’ll have to make quick and critical decisions.

It’s an emergency!

Aerosoft are certainly ambitious to bring something like Emergency Call 112: The Attack Squad to mobile. I don’t think even they would dispute that this is aimed firmly at an audience of enthusiasts, and presumably a pretty niche one.

At the same time, Emergency Call 112 comes packed with enough features and variety, including plenty of different missions to tackle, that even for those of you who aren’t devoted simulationists, there may be enough novelty to make it worth jumping in and seeing if you can beat the heat!

But, if you still aren’t convinced, then don’t fret because there are plenty of other great releases out there that are worth trying!
