Nearly every genre of game has sprouted a dedicated news showcase meant to highlight upcoming releases, so it was only a matter of time before Japanese role-playing games got the same treatment. Enter Indie Quest, an event dedicated to displaying some of the most exciting titles created by up-and-coming developers. If you’re fresh off the high of playing Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and hoping to find something similar, this might be exactly the thing you need right now.

The showcase, which debuts on May 29 at 4 p.m. PDT/7 p.m. EDT, will feature 40 exclusive trailers and a number of popular JRPG YouTubers. Creator Taylor Holt tells Polygon that he runs a YouTube channel dedicated to JRPGs where he regularly surfaces indie games to his audiences. That process has helped smaller games get wishlisted on Steam, which in turn helps developers reach more eyeballs than they might normally. After seeing other successful games showcases like the one for wholesome cozy games, Hoyt figured that attempting one himself could be a good way to raise awareness for noteworthy JRPG games.

“I wanted to put together something with much more prestige and production value to really shine a light on all the teams,” Hoyt says.

“The willingness from the teams to put together fresh trailers has been really exciting and the reception from the audience has been unbelievable so far,” Hoyt continued. “For anyone that likes Japanese-style RPGs they should definitely tune in.”

Though the teaser trailer is brief, you can catch a glimpse of a variety of turn-based games, card games, real-time action, and potentially a monster collector as well.
