If there’s any Gameloft release that has had a longer lifespan than anyone had expected, it’s Minion Rush. Back before Despicable Me hit cinemas, most probably didn’t expect a French animated film from a relatively obscure studio to make waves worldwide. But it certainly did, and now Gameloft are set to debut Minion Rush’s ‘biggest update ever’.
Certainly, this is an update that makes it clear Gameloft envisions Minion Rush going for a long while yet. Because this update moves Minion Rush over to a brand-new engine in the form of Unity! This means a massive visual overhaul to the somewhat veteran-looking runner.
More than that it also means you can enjoy a new streamlined user interface and other key features. This includes an endless runner mode! Yes, surprisingly enough, it took this long to be added, but you can access it right from the main menu.

You could definitely argue this update has been a long time coming in revamping Minion Rush for modern devices and players, but now that it’s here, I’m sure few of you have any complaints. In addition to the above features, you can show off your new player profile with personalised nicknames, avatars and frames.
The Hall of Jam is another new feature that offers increased progression rewards, with G-Coins, Minions stickers that help upgrade or unlock costumes, story puzzle pieces, gadgets and other goodies. There’s also the new Disco-boot, Bouncer, Rocket Blade and Minion Armor power-ups to explore too!
