Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.0 kicks off next month with Where Clouds Embrace the Dawn

I’d make another summer pun, but I think that’s overheated by now! (Editor’s note: I’m so sorry, reader.) Regardless, warmer weather seems to come alongside major new updates. And for fans of Zenless Zone Zero, it’s not just their first anniversary and Xbox launch to look forward to, but also the launch of Version 2.0, Where Clouds Embrace the Dawn, that’s coming June 6th.
This update will take you to an entirely new district of New Eridu, which is different from the wider city. The Waifei Peninsula will see you meeting new characters and uncovering secrets that require your Proxies to go from the main city of Failume Heights and explore the Lemnian Hollow.
With its distinctive theming, you’ll be able to take on the management of your own Suibian Temple, offering a brand new minigame to play where you upgrade the facilities and earn in-game rewards by defeating Bangboos, completing commissions and collecting resources from the Hollows.
Outside the district
Naturally, to help you cope with the new challenges you’ll face in the Waifei Peninsula, you’ll also have a host of new allies on your side. Yixuan, known as the Grandmaster, is an S-rank agent with her own distinct mechanic called Adrenaline, and can bypass enemy defences. There are six more agents too, including the enormous panda-like Pan Yinhu, who’ll be able to join your team and lend their own abilities!
Version 2.0 also introduces some major quality-of-life changes to help you with navigating New Eridu! A brand-new 3D map is paired up with new Fissure Beacons that let you restore HP, revive fallen agents and jump back into the action much more quickly.
