Nominations for the PG People’s Choice Award 2025 are now open

While you’re likely familiar with the Pocket Gamer Awards, are you aware that our sibling site, PocketGamer.biz, is also involved in an event celebrating all things mobile gaming? That’s right! The PG Mobile Games Awards are an annual tradition. They highlight the best in the industry, giving out awards for everything you could think of, ranging from tools to support agencies to service providers.

So, what’s that got to do with us? I hear you ask. Well, one of the 23 categories is the PG People’s Choice Award. That’s you, fine folks! Yes, while most of the event focuses on industry business, it’s still important to highlight the best release from the last year. And who better to decide that prestigious title than those who enjoy mobile gaming day after day?

Nominations are open now

It’s a public vote, then, which will open on June 30th and close on July 31st. The astute among you will have noticed that means voting doesn’t start today, and that’s because we need your nominations before we move on to that part. So, from now until midnight on June 27th, we encourage you to put forward your favourite game from the last year. Once your nominations are in, we’ll take a few days to prep everything for the big vote.

After the vote closes on July 31st, you’ll have to wait a while to hear the results. They’ll get announced at a swanky awards ceremony on Tuesday, August 19th, in Cologne. Of course, we’ll also unveil the winners elsewhere, so don’t worry if you’re not the suit-wearing, event-going type.

The last year or so has been fantastic for mobile gaming, with dozens of excellent ports, mobile-only releases, and even cross-play stuff you can enjoy on any device. With so much high-quality stuff, I’m glad I don’t have to choose a winner.
