  • Wuthering Waves is celebrating its first anniversary
  • Last month fans all over the world met up for exclusive in-person events
  • Cosplay competitions, live performances of the soundtrack and even a buffet!

A year on from release, it’s no surprise that Kuro Games are eager to celebrate the success of their action RPG Wuthering Waves. However, rather than just sticking with in-game events, they’re taking things to the real world with a new fan event that took place all over the globe this past month

Celebrated all over from Japan to China, there was even a North American event taking place in (you guessed it) Los Angeles. And it was certainly a jam-packed celebration for Rovers with a cosplay competition followed by a live in-person performance of the Wuthering Waves soundtrack.

Fans who made it to the event were even treated to a buffet! But, for those of you stewing in your jealousy, don’t worry, because there’s plenty for all to look forward to. Version 2.4 of Wuthering Waves is right around the corner, with a recent livestream revealing all the details.

Version 2.4 itself, dubbed Lightly We Toss the Crown, is shaping up to be a very appealing new update. You can look forward to two new major resonators to recruit with Cartethyia and Lupa, and new chapters which take you to the region of Septimont.

In a genre that’s full of heavy hitters, it’s worth celebrating when one manages to move ahead of the pack. And while Kuro Games definitely has competition from the arguably king of the genre MiHoYo, clearly, fans are happy that Wuthering Waves offers a fun alternative.
