Sniper Elite 5 for mobile is set for a 2026 release as it creeps onto iOS

- Sniper Elite 5 is coming to iOS in Q1 2026
- Fans will join Karl Fairburne once more as joins the D-Day invasion in 1944
- Use historical weaponry and gadgets to assassinate enemy commanders and sabotage equipment
The Sniper Elite series is arguably the flagship of longstanding British developer Rebellion. And now, fans who have enjoyed the adventures of OSS agent Karl Fairburne can jump into the action once more on mobile as Sniper Elite 5 is confirmed to arrive on iOS early next year!
Yes, 2026 may be a while away still, but when it does roll around, you can look forward to storming the beaches of Normandy with Fairburne. Sniper Elite 5 takes the action from sunny Italy and into the later days of the war and France during the D-Day Invasion.
Gameplay-wise, if you’ve played any of the Sniper Elite series, you know what to expect. But for the uninitiated, you take on the role of, well, an elite sniper. You’ll approach missions to assassinate high-value targets and sabotage enemy installations with a mixture of stealth and assault, wielding a variety of historical gadgets and weapons.
Land your crosshairs
As would be expected, one of the big selling points for Sniper Elite 5 is also the lush graphical quality that fans will be able to enjoy. And while Rebellion aren’t quick to point to the power of Apple’s devices in doing so, it’s worth noting that Sniper Elite 4 took advantage of new chips and graphics capabilities when it arrived on iOS.
Either way, it’s an important reminder of the way AAA is creeping its way onto mobile. Could a potential bust-up of some sort between two until-now separate parts of the gaming world be on the cards? We’ll have to wait and see.
