  • True Fear 3 is coming July 3rd to iOS and Android
  • It wraps up the chilling trilogy of point-and-click horror puzzlers
  • Wrap up the Stonehouse saga as Holly finally finds the truth behind her family’s dark past

When you think of horror, the genre that it connects to wouldn’t usually be a point-and-click, but as anyone who’s experienced cult-classic Scratches can attest, this isn’t an unusual pairing. And the True Fear series is set to continue that trend as its third entry arrives next month on mobile!

The True Fear series follows Holly Stonehouse as she attempts to uncover the secrets behind her family’s dark past. Having explored the Stonehouse Manor in part one, and the Dark Falls Asylum in part two, part three will bring the saga to its epic, blood-curdling conclusion.

As you might expect, the focus of True Fear is not on fast-paced escape sequences and jump scares. Instead, you’ll be exposed to slow-burn horror as you explore room after room, piecing together various fiendish puzzles and experiencing the haunting atmosphere of the spooky structures in which you find yourself.

Fear the dark

True Fear will most likely offer horror fans the chance to try out a demo before making a full purchase, as the series has with previous entries. And if you’re interested in getting it ASAP, you can pre-register ahead of the July 3rd launch on your platform of choice!

And even if you’re a horror fan who’s just a bit sceptical of getting the much-needed terror factor from a point-and-click adventure, you can also enjoy the chilling cinematic cutscenes. Whatever your enjoyment, True Fear promises to have an interesting alternative for horror fans on mobile!

But that release is a few weeks off yet, so if you need things to do otherwise, why not check out our latest list of the top five new mobile games to try this week? Or if you need the chill factor to relax, why not dig into our list of the top 25 best horror games on iOS and Android?
