Autogun Heroes to stay on mobile, will be published by Nitro Games

Fans of Nitro Games’ Autogun Heroes may have heard rumours floating around that their partnership with Supersonic (which brought it to mobile) was set to wrap up. Fortunately, those of you who love Autogun Heroes and its fast-paced side-scrolling shooter action don’t need to fret, because Nitro have now taken over publishing to keep it on mobile.
According to Nitro, this new arrangement will lead them into the next phase for mobile and a potential expansion to other platforms. Although they don’t offer any more details about what this might be, more updates and expansions could be expected.
What’s more interesting is that there’s also apparently an unannounced new release set in the Autogun Heroes Universe, which Nitro are keeping under wraps. No doubt this new publishing arrangement suits them just fine, especially if they’re going to try and push Autogun Heroes further as their own signature series.
Shoot ’em up
With its gameplay being in the fine tradition of side-scrolling shooters such as Guns, Gore and Cannoli, it’s no surprise Autogun Heroes has proven so popular. Given Nitro has gone to the trouble of shifting from Unity to taking on publishing themselves, it would seem audiences on mobile have agreed, and now they’re eager to make their mark on iOS and Android.
With their upcoming release, Autogun Heroes: Supercharged, seemingly being focused on PC for now, hopefully, this unannounced release that’s being bandied about will be something focused on mobile, especially since it’s aimed at a more casual audience.
