5 new mobile games to try this week – June 12th, 2025

1
Meow Rangers
Developer: Mobirix
Available on: iOS + Android
Capybaras rising up against The Man, goats causing mayhem, and angry chickens taking vengeance on farmers for stealing their eggs – we’ve covered a lot of games that revolve around agitated animals lately, and this time around, we’ve got furious felines taking centre stage in Meow Rangers.
The adorably titled idle RPG will have you auto-battling through evil invaders to restore peace to Cat Village, all while assembling the titular rangers and building Meow Town at the same time. And if the equally adorable enemies don’t lure you in, the flashy music-based skills and notes most certainly will.

Zoom Diving: Picture Chain

Get ready to do some serious pinching on your touchscreen with Zoom Diving: Picture Chain, a relaxing new puzzler where you’ll need to zoom in endlessly to go from one puzzle to the next. With its detailed picture-in-picture mechanic, it offers one huge mega-picture that hides the next one somewhere in the image – the trick is that you’ll need to zoom in and keep your eyes peeled for it entirely at your own pace.
What makes this a totally chill experience is that there are no timers here – you can drag, swipe and zoom at your leisure, but just in case you get stuck, there’s a handy hint system too to give you a little nudge in the right direction.
3
Etheria: Restart
Developer: XD Inc.
Available on: iOS + Android + Steam

As a new Hyperlinker tasked with ensuring humanity’s survival, you’ll team up with powerful Animus to preserve what’s left of the human race. Now, while post-apocalyptic narratives where you’re always saving the world might seem all too common, Etheria: Restart aims to add its own flavour with its gorgeous animations, flashy skills, and strategic turn-based combat.
You’ll dive into sandbox exploration with your squad, all presented with high-quality rendering powered by Unreal Engine. Plus, there’s a PvP Arena to give a go too just in case you’re feeling competitive. May the best Anima powers win!
4
Space Squad Survival
Available on: iOS + Android

It’s not easy being Commander in Space Squad Survival, a charming survival-slash-base builder where you’ll need to have your wits about you to survive in the harsh terrain of outer space. Explore uncharted planets for loot and resources, then upgrade your ship and build your base as you go along.
You’ll also need to keep up crew morale, not to mention defend against space pirates and evil aliens while you’re at it. The visuals are absolutely adorable though, so it’s all well worth the effort!
5
Parallel Experiment
Available on: iOS + Android + Steam + Nintendo Switch

Two heads are better than one in Parallel Experiment, a new co-op puzzler where you’ll need to work together to survive. Targeted by a twisted killer and trapped in a deadly escape room-esque experiment, you and your partner need to decipher clues and solve puzzles that can’t otherwise be solved all by your lonesome.
You’ll need to rely on constant communication throughout over 80 puzzles, but just in case you’re feeling a little cheeky, you can also annoy your partner with silly antics – actual poking and prodding included.
