  • Alterna Vvelt: Blue Exorcist lives! And it’s releasing June 25th
  • Better yet, it turns out we’re also getting a simultaneous English-language release
  • It features an entirely original story set in the Blue Exorcist world

There have been a lot of great series in the world of anime over the years, some of which sadly tend to fade into the past. Fortunately, sometimes they get the appreciation they deserve and exposure to a whole new audience. Such is exactly the case with the upcoming release of Alterna Vvelt: Blue Exorcist.

Eagle-eyed fans may note that Alterna Vvelt originally was announced way back in 2024 before being unceremoniously delayed. But we now have an official release date for June 25th, and better yet, it also comes with a simultaneous English-language release for the United States, Europe and beyond.

Alterna Vvelt also offers veteran fans of Blue Exorcist a brand-new story set in the world of the series. Playing as Rin Okumara, following the story of him and his brother, the erstwhile sons of Satan, you’ll meet a whole new cast of characters all designed by series creator Kazue Kato himself!

Blue period

For fans of Blue Exorcist, Alterna Vvelt arriving (soon, at that) will be good news. Especially the fact that this is confirmed to be its own spin-off story with brand-new characters to meet, considering many anime spin-offs tend to stick pretty closely to an established story.

It’s also always heartening to see the contributions of the original series creator and renowned voice actors pitching in on a project like this, considering that for many dedicated anime fans, seeing the passion that’s put into their favourite series is more likely to bring them in when Alterna Vvelt launches on June 25th.

And while the world of anime mobile releases has been a bit shaky recently, there’s still plenty of great options out there! Don’t believe me? Well, go ahead and dig into our list of the top 15 best anime mobile games to see our top picks!
