Squad Busters races along with Sonic as the iconic blue hedgehog joins their hero lineup

Squad Busters is set to expand its reach with a brand-new collab, and this time around, it’s a real surprise for everyone. That’s because Sonic the Hedgehog of Sega fame is set to join Squad Busters on June 17th as its newest hero, accompanied by Tails and Knuckles as his new Squaddies!
As you might expect, since it’s Sonic, he’s all about speed and using his Super Sonic form to gain invincibility. Using Turbo will recharge this ability, and Sonic serves as the lynchpin for Speedster Squaddies by boosting their abilities further.
Naturally, he’s also joined by Tails and Knuckles, with the former hopping aboard his Cyclone Walker and wielding a powerful laser cannon. Meanwhile, Knuckles does what he does best, and smashes stuff to bits by digging under attacks to evade damage before popping up below enemies to hit them.
Gotta’ go fast!
To unlock the trio, you’ll want to jump into the new event starting June 17th, and collect rings from battles, the shop and your daily rewards. Doing so will unlock Sonic, whose Hero Journey will let you gather more rings to unlock Knuckles and Tails, all of whom get their own evolutions!
And it wouldn’t be Sonic if he weren’t followed by his archnemesis, Dr Eggman, who makes an appearance in the new Dr Eggman Attacks modifier. Aside from offering increased rings, this modifier will see Eggman roam the map in his Egg Mobile, duking it out with heroes as he goes and even transforming into the Death Egg Robot.
