Battlegrounds Mobile India will see the return of Skyesports Championship Path to Pro
- Indian organisation Skyesports has announced the return of their Battlegrounds India Mobile championship
- It’s one of the longest-running homegrown championships in India
- The championship will hold open qualifiers
While the PUBG Global Mobile Championships may be taking place halfway across the world, in India, things aren’t slacking either. Despite PUBG having to create its own domestic version for people to play, with BGMI, Indian esports organisations have taken things in their stride. In fact, Skyesports has announced the return of their BGMI Path to Pro Championship for its 2024 edition!
Path to Pro is, essentially, a chance for prospective players to put their best foot forward and have a chance at competing. And if you do succeed in qualifying, you could be in with a chance of joining the LAN Event taking place from December 14th to 15th at the Koramangal Indoor Stadium in Bangalore.
With Skyesports BGMI tournament in 2021 ranking as the third most-watched tournament for the game ever, it’s undoubtedly a great chance for amateur players to get a chance to gain exposure on a massive national stage. Keep an eye on the official Skyesports Twitter for more information, soon to be unveiled!
Battle these grounds
It’s good to see that there’s plenty of enthusiasm for the esports scene in India, especially given the rather rocky history that Battlegrounds in all its forms has had in the country. And it’s equally exciting to see that this is all being done at a (relatively) grassroots level all things considered.
