  • Clash of Clans’ upcoming Hammer Jam was set to be a major event
  • But it’s seemingly in peril as the titular Hammer has gone missing
  • Clash of Clans now has a new true crime podcast to try and track the tool down

Fans of true crime and Supercell’s Clash of Clans, which I’d wager is a surprisingly common demographic, will be excited to learn that the game is set to debut a strange new mix of the two. The upcoming Hammer Jam event has sadly been imperilled thanks to the theft of the titular Hammer, and Supercell is inviting fans to follow along in the new podcast Hammerless: A True Crime Podcast in a Fantasy World.

As you might’ve expected by the title, Hammerless sees forensic experts, villagers and more all weigh on in this whodunnit. Inviting fans to follow along and keep their eye open for the clues, the podcast is set to arrive daily on Apple Music and Spotify in the lead-up to a (hopefully) still happening Hammer Jam.

The “reward” for this is, of course, Hammer Jam itself. Which naturally I’d warrant would happen regardless. But as far as ARGs (alternate reality games, the more you know) go, this is a pretty interesting one.

True lies

While true crime as a concept has gotten a mixed reaction from many in the public, there’s an undeniable lore to the explanation of dark and depraved happenings. In contrast, Hammerless offers a neat little parody of the concept, while also tying into the upcoming Clash of Clans yearly event. And with a unique guest in the form of popular forensic psychologist Dr Leslie Dobson set to weigh in, it’ll be a fun time for all I’d wager.
