Dark & Darker Mobile slated for soft launch in Canada next month, release in first half of this year

Krafton’s mobile adaptation of Ironmace’s hit extraction dungeon crawler Dark and Darker is set to debut in Canada as it soft launches on February 5th. But those of you elsewhere in the world won’t need to wait long as we can report that a global launch is slated for the first half of this year!

For those not familiar, Dark and Darker is a combination of extraction shooter and dungeon crawler. As either a single adventurer or a whole party of D&D-esque fighters, rogues, barbarians, wizards, bards and more, you’ll have to traverse an enormous dungeon fighting off both monsters and others seeking to steal your loot.

Ironmace’s original made a big splash when it hit PC, and Krafton were quick to snap up the rights to produce a mobile version. And with a global launch seemingly right around the corner, there’s also news of further improvements being implemented to Dark and Darker ahead of its worldwide release.

Getting darker

Key changes that are being planned include alterations to the Darkswarm system and escape mechanics for getting out of the dungeon, which will also be getting overhauls in terms of structures to help with party play. Meanwhile, Class differentiation will also be improved with more basic attacks and combat mechanics, and you can expect general additions of a wider range of weapons and skills.
