  • Destiny Rising is the newly-announced mobile spin-off of Bungie’s RPG shooter
  • Published by NetEase, it takes place in a wholly divergent timeline
  • With an upcoming closed alpha, here’s what you need to know

Well, it’s official, Destiny is coming to mobile; with people already speculating about how it’ll turn out. Bungie’s hit sci-fantasy shooter has been top of the charts for years now, but difficult times at the studio have caused it to slump a bit. However, NetEase is now set to bring the series to mobile for the first time with Destiny Rising.

If you’re here, then, you’re probably wondering about how you can play Destiny: Rising early, and that’s by playing the closed alpha. But you might also be wondering where and how you can play it, which is the info that we’ve collected.

And because we’re not ones to beat around the bush, and it’s easier to pick them out here, let’s break it all down into bullet points. Here’s all the info for Destiny Rising’s upcoming closed alpha test.

  • When?: The first closed alpha test begins November 1st.
  • Where?: Regions involved have not yet been confirmed
  • How?: Sign up by pre-registering on the official website.

Rise up

Yes, I know, the info is a bit thin on the ground at the minute. But it’s early days yet. I’d hazard a guess that Europe, America and probably China will be the earliest countries to get it on the closed alphas. Other games do tend to test in other places across the world, but for a franchise as big as Destiny there’s no real way to test the waters in an unexposed market.

So be sure to check in regularly, and we’ll update the page as and when new information emerges on the closed alphas for Destiny: Rising!

In the meantime, feel free to take a glance at some of our lists. The best mobile games of 2024 (so far) ranks the top launches from the last seven days, while the top 25 free-to-play games on iOS and Android offers options for a budget-conscious gamer.
