Fields of Mistria’s first big update — with romance! — coming in November

The November update will add romance to the game — raising the Heart cap from four to six, and adding events for Fields of Mistria’s dateable nonplayable characters. Some people have described Fields of Mistria as Stardew Valley with much hotter NPCs, so you can understand how eager the community has been to date the characters — including the dragon statue. Marriage and children aren’t expected to be added to the game until a later update, which is good news for me: More time to figure out who to spend my Fields of Mistria life with.

Back to the November update, Fields of Mistria will also add more depth to its Mines with new enemies and cosmetic drops from the Mine monsters. The town’s level cap will also be raised by 20 levels, adding new rewards, board requests, museum content, and a new festival, NPC Studio said. Skill caps will be raised, too, from level 30 to level 40, adding additional skill perks alongside the increase. Of course, Fields of Mistria players can expect new home upgrades, player and animal cosmetics, and additional decor.

NPC Studio is also leaving the door open for additional new stuff, according to the roadmaps’ “Misc.” section.

Fields of Mistria has been in early access since August. By September, the game had already been downloaded more than 250,000 times, with players having spent well over 4 million hours playing it. Fields of Mistria has received several small patches since its early access release, but the November update will be the first major content addition.
