  • A shop-free version of the classic MMORPG
  • Zeny is the only currency
  • You can still pre-register ahead of the OBT

Gravity Interactive, Inc. has announced the open beta for Ragnarok M: Classic, the studio’s upcoming version of the hit MMORPG but with a shop-free twist. Zeny is the only currency here, it seems, making for a fair environment that focuses mainly on the adventure itself rather than the economy.

The OBT will launch on February 14th, making Ragnarok M: Classic a bit of a Valentine’s Day treat, if you will. Now, even I can admit that there are far too many Ragnarok games on mobile these days, and as an RO fan, I do find it pretty confusing when it comes to which one I’m supposed to play. This one offers to stand out among the rest, however, with its shop-free system, which means that all the items you see can be obtainable entirely via the gameplay itself.

There’s a free Offline Battle you can dive into as well, along with all the iconic jobs from the OG MMO. You don’t have to worry about breaking your gear either, as apparently, there’s a system that lets you go up to +15 refinement safely to eliminate all those upgrading woes.

There’s also a Monthly Pass you can grab for free simply by logging in – this means you can enjoy EXP boosts and exclusive gear, plus Drop Rate bonuses to boot.

While you wait, why not take a look at our list of the best MMOs on Android to get your fill?

In the meantime, if you’re eager to join in on all the fun, you can do so by pre-registering for Ragnarok M: Classic from the App Store and on Google Play. It’s free-to-play with in-app purchases.
