  • Vampire Survivors has finally done the unthinkable and brought chief inspiration Castlevania to the game
  • 20+ tough-as-nails new characters, 40+ new deadly weapons and 30+ new bumping music tracks
  • And features the biggest ever Vampire Survivors stage yet

You all doubted me! Everyone doubted me! Even my immediate family! But finally, Poncle has quit teasing us and done the unthinkable. Their latest DLC, Ode to Castlevania, has officially been announced. Bringing iconic characters, weapons and music from the iconic series to Vampire Survivors, it promises to be one of the most content-rich DLC sets for the hit bullet heaven thus far.

Not only can you expect series regulars such as Simon Belmont and Alucard, but also 20+ other characters ranging from Julius Belmont, to Soma Cruz from the DS series, and even more obscure parties like John Morris and Eric Lecarde from Castlevania: Bloodlines.

It’s a truly jam-packed DLC, as 40+ new weapons hit the stage (with at least four whips) as well as 30+ music tracks. Whether it’s iconic themes or stage-specific bangers, Vampire Survivors will see regular composers Daniele Zandara and Filippo Vicarelli tackle these tracks. Not only that but fan-favourites Evelyn Lark and Keygen Church will also contribute their musical talents!

Hail from the past

But wait! I can’t even go into my usual specific spiel down here because Ode to Castlevania is also packaged with what is enigmatically called the biggest Vampire Survivors stage ever. And given what hints we see in the trailer above, I wouldn’t be surprised if it takes us through Castle Dracula, its environs and beyond. Not bad for $3.99, eh?

You can whip-crack your way into Ode to Castlevania this Halloween, when the new DLC drops on October 31st for all platforms, mobile included.
